I specialize in working with first generation individuals to help them better understand their sense of self in relation to their culture. We explore the family dynamic, cultural values and expectations throughout the life cycle. I understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with navigating the feelings of both "belonging" and "not belonging" to a culture, and its impact on one’s sense of self. Using a relational and narrative approach, I help clients understand and heal from the effects of generational trauma and family enmeshment, while also helping them forge a relationship with their own unique story.
