Melanie is a Trauma-Informed Licensed Master Social Worker from Winona State University and holds a Master’s in Education. Melanie strives to create an inclusive and affirming space where clients of all identities and lived experiences feel supported, seen, and heard. Her work is grounded in empathy and respect, with a strong focus on empowering youth and young adults to navigate life’s challenges. Her work is guided by a commitment to social justice, equity, and collective liberation. She is dedicated to challenging systems of oppression and honoring wisdom and resilience of those most impacted by them. Melanie provides counseling support for self-esteem, anxiety/depression, trauma-related disorders, body image, identity exploration, and life transitions. Her approach combines play therapy, art therapy, trauma-informed, and person-centered care within a holistic framework. Melanie is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
