My name is Melissa and I'm a licensed mental health counselor based in FL and licensed in Washington as well. I received my master's degree from Capella University. I've worked with adults in many different areas of behavioral health from outpatient to residential. I have over 6 years of experience in providing counseling services with over 20 years of experience working in behavioral health, substance use and mental health. I enjoy working with those who are looking to make improvements in themselves and are looking to find those skills to do just that. I want clients to know that they are not alone and that they can heal. Most first sessions are about building rapport and getting to know what brought you to therapy. With the information gathered in the first session it will help us design a treatment plan that will assist you in reaching your goals. I want everyone to take at least one or two nuggets of information or different perspectives with them when the session ends.
