Clients can expect to be greeted by a warm and compassionate counselor whose greatest desire is to help them overcome the challenges they face so that they can live their best life. Mercy Cares clinicians generally build rapport through creating an environment that is safe and authentic. It is person-centered. This is achieved through psychoeducation, self-care, awareness skills training, and collaboration in the treatment of unhealthy behaviors. Spiritual integration (Christian) is also offered if patients desire.
