About
I believe change flows easiest from self-acceptance, nurtured through the telling, listening, and embodied expressions of our lives. My approach is warm, inviting, direct, and attuned. I meet clients with interest, non-judgment, and respect. I am driven by the belief that individual and community care are interwoven, and that healing is a process of mourning and meaning-making. In a safe, authentic therapeutic relationship, I support clients in releasing past pains, developing presence, and trusting their inner knowing. This process is both personal and collaborative. View 4 Photos At the foundation of my approach is the person-in-environment ethos of social work and ethnography, with a background in cultural anthropology. I focus on the social and cultural ecosystems shaping identity, using narrative, mindfulness-based, cognitive-behavioral, existential, and relational psychodynamic modalities. My work is trauma-informed.
