My path to becoming a therapist began with curiosity about how people make sense of their lives. I studied film and psychology, exploring how stories shape identity and emotion—and how the ways we tell them can help or limit us. That interest led me into community organizing and social work. I also volunteered as an EMT, learning to stay grounded in crisis. My work in community mental health and research taught me that healing means understanding how personal and social contexts shape who we are. I’ve presented at academic conferences and am completing my doctorate, exploring how people grow, adapt, and find meaning through change.
