I believe that the more you put into therapy, the more you get out of it. Therapy is not solely a place to vent, but an avenue to strategize real behavioral changes to improve your life and relationships. By making a conscious effort to implement those changes outside of the therapy office and taking responsibility for yourself, you are most likely to benefit from treatment. I am a masters-level, Connecticut-licensed clinician with over 20 years of experience in outpatient and residential treatment. I am a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and a clinical supervisor.
