I know meeting with a therapist can be scary. Will he think I'm crazy? Will he be able to help me? Will he understand me? These questions are normal, but the only way for you to know for certain is to contact me. Letting your guard down and opening up to a stranger can be discomforting. But, if something is prompting you to consider speaking with a therapist, I can offer the support you seek. I have been doing this for over 30 years. My style is relaxed, conversational, educational, and non-judgmental. Above all, my role as your therapist is to listen and to provide you with proven tools to help you get back on track. I am a licensed psychologist and a Professor at Mount Sinai's Icahn School of Medicine, where I lecture, see patients, and conduct research. My research on depression, anxiety, postpartum depression, and other mood disorders has been reported worldwide, including on CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
