My therapy practice focuses on helping clients cope with and overcome challenges through providing the guidance and tools to move forward in life. My goal is for clients to feel that they have improved self-esteem, improved mood, motivation to work and participate in daily responsibilities, achieve their goals, form and strengthen their relationships, and integrate the past into the present. I have experience with children and adolescents, families in need of a change or a new set of skills, chronic mental illness inclusive of mood disorders, persistent anxiety and depression, and substance abuse disorders. We will evaluate coping mechanisms, family, school, work, how clients see themselves, leisure time, and the role of the community in their lives. Different therapy solutions work for each client. This could include person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma informed therapy, substance abuse treatment, and solution-oriented therapy.
