Being a man, a dad, or an expecting father often comes with pressure to “hold it together”—even when things feel anything but together inside. I work with men who are tired of white-knuckling it, questioning their coping (including substance use), or silently carrying stress, grief, or loss while trying to show up for their families. If you’ve tried cutting back substances, quitting, or “getting it under control” and keep ending up in the same place, therapy can help. I work with clients to look at substance use without judgment, understand the patterns underneath it, and build practical tools for change.
