My ideal client is frustrated, angry, in despair. Life hasn’t worked out the way it was supposed to. (S)he lost herself somewhere long ago, left herself behind. Relationships are hard; those recurring patterns and reactive behavior keep interfering with connection, and self-esteem, and contentment, and vitality, and... A malaise has settled, along with a darkness. This inevitably leads to anxiety, depression, isolation, addiction, and despair. My clients know there must be more. But, where to begin? How to start? My specialty is Post-Traumatic Growth. PTSD is an inability to release trauma energy, and an unconscious rewriting of the stories of our lives. Usually, this story is about not being enough. I work with individuals and couples in releasing trauma in skillful ways, and creating the radical and scandalous possibility of creativity, fulfillment, and hope.
