My passion is helping clients heal and grow physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. I believe in the resiliency of the human spirit and the power of positive thinking. My specialties include trauma focused therapy for survivors of emotional, physical, and/or sexual abuse as well as treatment of eating disorders, complicated bereavement, and women's issues. I use a holistic, person-centered approach to counseling and work as a team with my clients to help them achieve physical, emotional, and spiritual balance. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as the Instinctual Trauma Response (ITR) method, and these are two of the approaches I use in helping clients work through trauma. Additionally, I use Motivational Interviewing when working with clients striving to achieve recovery from co-occurring mental health concerns.
