I am currently accepting new in person and online clients. My office is in South Saint Paul. I believe that therapy is important for everyone. It is the one place that you can go and know that you can truly be who you are. You don’t have to pretend to be someone else. You can share the most sacred things that you are afraid to say out loud to anyone else because you worry about being judged. It’s that one space that you know that no matter what it is you can say exactly what you mean and you don’t have to worry about hurting someone’s feelings or having to say the right thing. You can just be you and know it will be ok. I have had extensive training in adult ADHD. Adult ADHD looks very different than it does for children. Oftentimes people are dismissed or invalidated. I even recently heard from a doctor that "ADHD is the diagnosis of the century". I find this to be horrible. You should be able to have your experiences validated. They are real.
