The pain left by grief, especially sudden, traumatic, or complicated grief, is overwhelming. It takes our breath away. I know. I've been a clinical social worker for over 20 years, and my passion and expertise are in helping people rebuild their lives after grief and/or trauma. While my approach is always person-centered, my philosophy is rooted in an unwavering belief in the strength of the human spirit. I approach the work from a trauma-centered cognitive behavioral perspective and use the metaphor of growing around grief to guide my work. There's no finish line in grief, but there is solace and even peace.
