Hi there, my name is Mimi! I am a licensed clinical social worker/therapist licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia with over 15 years of experience. I have been truly blessed to work with clients ranging from preteens to the elderly dealing with varying issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger management, family issues and physical and emotional abuse to name a few. I have been especially proud of working with young adults who were formally in the foster care system transitioning emotionally and mentally to adulthood and society as a whole. The above issues often interrupt our daily lives and can feel debilitating. However, when one has a trusting therapeutic relationship with someone who cares, one can work towards a path to emotional freedom. My counseling style is interactive, empathetic and warm. I believe that listening is the key to success in a therapeutic relationship.
