I became a therapist to help communities, families, and children adapt to life's challenges and heal from traumatic experiences. My education and life lessons have shaped my approach to supporting clients on their healing journeys. My approach to helping is trauma-informed, client-specific, evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and solution-oriented. It's important to recognize how your actions influence your thoughts and emotions. Understanding how going through a traumatic experience can affect how one relates to others is imperative to move from victim to survivor to an advocate for your healing. Most people take care of their physical health. However, one’s mental health is often seen from a negative perspective which causes a barrier to getting help. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns and traumatic experiences.
