MJ is a Registered Play Therapist, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (MN), and Certified Parent Educator (COSP International). MJ provides play therapy, parent child therapy and parent support for kids primarily under the age of 12. MJ provides services as an independent contractor at Lakes Counseling in downtown Wayzata and Delano, MN. With children under the age of 12, I use a strengths-based, attachment-focused, playful approach to help them better understand their emotions and find new ways to manage stressors. With parents, I provide practical tools, direct feedback, and ongoing encouragement so they can parent with confidence and enjoy their relationship with their child.
