No one goes through life without facing stressors or hardships, but with the right help, clients can develop and learn the skills they need to deal with these stressors and hardships successfully. As a therapist, my goal is to come into a client’s life and help them do the work to make their lives easier, and their stressors seem more manageable. When a client reaches out for therapy, they are typically wanting to improve some aspect of their life, or make a positive change. It is always my priority to make sure my clients leave treatment feeling as though they are making progress towards a goal.
