I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science and Master's of Art from EKU and have been licensed to practice independently since 2002. In my professional career, I have worked with a variety of populations, including residential and outpatient substance abuse. I specialize in grief issues. I have three children and 2 pets! I enjoy kayaking, scrapbooking, music and volunteering. My focus in counseling is to listen and meet the person where they are, and only then, try to help. Each person is different and their treatment must be as well. Some of my specialties involve grief & loss counseling and couples counseling. I provides counseling to individuals, couples and families from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, with the focus being that of increasing life satisfaction.
