I believe in an individualized approach to counseling/therapy. People often contact me for help with relationships, depression, anxiety, stress management, grief/loss, and other life transitions. To me, each situation is unique. My being a good listener as well as offering a variety of "psychological tools" are both important. For example, tools might include new skills in communication such as better ways to handle conflict or manage difficult emotions like anger, sadness, fear, envy or guilt. Providing a safe, supportive and confidential place to discuss difficult issues is essential. I also believe strongly in building on people's strengths.
