Much of my work with clients involves understanding the feelings and situations with which they are struggling. Through my listening as well as my participation, my clients come to understand themselves and to realize their own capacity to make changes in their lives. A question I often think about, and share with my client, is “what is getting in the way, blocking my client from feeling relatively happy, and being the person they seek to be- in relationships, in work, in their lived lives?" These questions may not have immediate answers, but it is something my clients and I keep in mind from the beginning & work towards exploring.
