Is it about not being heard, the inability to say what we really mean, or our failure to listen sufficiently that causes us the most distress in our relationships with others? Some might say it’s a combination of all the above. To be fully heard and listened to, to have the ability to speak our truth without dismissal, is all about feeling understood and accepted by others.
