I enjoy working with people in a way that is both warm as well as structured, easy-going as well as goal-oriented. Like Ghandi said, "No-one ever understood a truth about themselves unless it was spoken with kindness." It can be painful facing aspects of our lives that we have previously avoided or self-medicated. However, my aim is to make therapy safe enough to face these hard truths. Although it takes a lot of courage to come to therapy and talk about underlying issues and struggles, in the long run, doing so can lead to an equivalent sense of freedom and connection.
