Counseling is the process of recognizing our pain and hurt (past and present), understanding the effects of that pain and hurt (as it relates to relationships, work, school, etc.), and making the necessary changes to stop the pain and hurt, and also promoting mental and emotional wellness. Psychologist Carl Jung once said, “I am not what happened to me, I am what I chose to become.” With that in mind, the hope and plan is to move towards one’s ideal, true self; moving from feeling stuck to feeling empowered. View 16 Photos My speciality is working with those who have experienced trauma; how negative events, experiences and memories still have an emotional impact on use now. My hope is to create a safe space for clients in which we can explore the deeper rooted issues that can often be the source of our, anxiety, depression, sadness, low self-worth, etc.
