As an adolescent, teen, and young adult therapist, I acknowledge the joys and the challenges we often experience throughout our young lives. By working with adolescents, teens, and their parents as a family system, there is an increase in the overall efficacy of treatment. Often, many of our struggles as a family stem from our ability to fully understand each others' experiences and view points. Learning to communicate more effectively, regulate emotions, and be more mindful in our every day lives can drastically improve our personal and familial experiences.
