Welcome and Hello, my name is Ofelia. I want to share a little about who I am as a counselor. I realize engaging in counseling can be a big decision to make and there may be some hesitation when someone feels the need to seek a counselor. It is difficult to know what experience to expect. I would like you to know that as a counselor, I work collaboratively with clients, meeting them where they are at. I have had the honor of working and creating a safe space with an array of resilient individuals age levels from 12 to up that were working on managing (anxiety, depression, SUD, grief, family/couples, BIPOC, and LGTBQ). My sessions follow the client where they would like to work within themselves toward resolving problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings, relationship issues they may be struggling with at the time of the session in order to create a safe nurturing environment to allow the client to explore ways they can start moving towards learning what works best for them.
