Hi there! I'm Olivea Zimmerman, an AMFT (144171) providing in-person therapy to teens, adults and older adults in San Ramon & the Tri-Valley. Finding a therapist can be hard and sometimes awkward, so I’m glad you’re here! My practice is built around providing a warm, laid back, and collaborative environment where we can work together to identify what you’re struggling with and piece together solutions / approaches that work for you. My work is grounded in acceptance, warmth, collaboration, and compassion for the self in this often difficult world. I am supervised by Michelle Ritenour (LMFT 51357) and employed by Ritenour Counseling. My experience is primarily with college-age adults, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, identity questions (gender, sexuality, race), and political stress. I also have a soft spot for long-distance relationship struggles, fellow nerds and gamers, and anyone who feels chronically online (no judgment—same).
