My ideal client is someone who is functioning in life but wants some help in managing life's stressors and transitions. I focus my practice on adult women, but I also work with couples, especially if the source of the client's difficulty is in her relationship. In the case of an infertile couple or a couple who has suffered a pregnancy loss, to help them deal with the loss, I can counsel both of the parents. My ideal client is willing to examine her beliefs, is willing to try to change and truly wants to thrive in life. They want this outcome because they do not want to remain stuck where they are. I can help by being a professional sounding board, by helping someone to examine their beliefs about themselves and their situation and to find positive and healthier ways of thinking about their challenges. I have 20 years of experience as a social worker and have helped women face the toughest kinds of situations in life such as the loss of a baby.
