I take great satisfaction in helping adults who struggle with depression and anxiety arising from events and situations - past or present -that have triggered painful feelings or dysfunctional coping. Life transitions such as divorce or family estrangement; the death of a loved one, including pets; or career struggles, are areas of expertise for me. I think that, partnered with a guide of skilled means and a compassionate spirit, we humans can be incredibly resilient under almost any circumstances. There might be a sense of something that was lost, found; or there might be a brand new experience of hope. I use methods that are experiential, existential, and emotionally focused. Motivational Interviewing (MI), the expressive arts and nature immersion can also enhance well-being. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a base line.
