When people come together to speak of what is most important to us, something special happens. There is a deepening, a spark of truth, warmth, and connection. In therapy, we have the chance to connect in this way. Together we can find meaning where confusion lives, we can expand into compassion when judgment scorns, slowing into experience despite the rush of life’s demands. From this together place, we can address the wounds life has inflicted: the oppression and trauma, the depression, fear, and anxiety, the isolation and pain. As a former bodywork therapist, yoga and meditation teacher, I bring over twenty-five years of skills and experiences into our sessions. We can play with mindfulness techniques, tune into the body’s wisdom, or delve into issues of spirituality, exploring the mind, emotions, and complexities of the human experience.
