Dr. Avon trained at Stony Brook under the late Dr. Edward Carr in behavioral therapy with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She earned her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, training for years with Dr. Charles Golden in neuropsychology and serving children with learning and developmental disorders. Post-grad, she specialized in autism and developmental disabilities. Her practice also includes school consultation, program evaluation, CBT, DBT skills, social skills/social thinking, and parent behavioral coaching. She’s also an avid show-jumping equestrian.
