My name is Philip Cameron, and I am a licensed professional counselor who specializes in providing inclusive and innovative mental health services to Illinois-based clients that prefer or require virtual meeting spaces! At Prairie Wellness Counseling Center, I offer accessible telemedicine (video or phone) psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families of all ages, including clients who identify as LGBTQIA+ or neurodivergent. I also specialize in treatment of clients affected by acute or post-traumatic stress symptoms following an injury or illness, as well as people experiencing chronic illness or disability. While my therapeutic approach is always guided by a strengths-based, client-centered attitude, I often employ an eclectic combination of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, as well as strategies informed by innumerable scientific, philosophical, and spiritual influences.
