About

I believe that, for many of us, psychotherapy is a process of self-discovery that can help us better understand ourselves, connect our inner world with our external environment and to those around us, and reconcile conflicting parts of ourselves. It can lead to feeling more alive, authentic, open to the world, fulfilled and aware. It requires a willingness to explore personal histories, question long-held beliefs, examine behaviors that work against us, and to accept that change is possible. I work with adults and young adults of various social, economic, racial and ethnic backgrounds and gender identities and gender expressions. I have an eclectic approach to treatment, adapting the process of therapy to a person’s goals and objectives as they evolve during the therapeutic process. I use a psychodynamic approach, and have a relational focus that highlights the two-person dynamic which I believe is the foundation of effective psychotherapy.
