Since I was young my friends and family members have always come to me with their problems and concerns. They felt comfortable coming and talking to me about anything because they knew I would just listen without judgment. Some people may see it as a burden to listen to other people's problems, but I see it as a "gift". Along with the gift of listening, I have been gifted with the ability to understand people's emotions, feelings, and thoughts by helping them change their perspective. Also, my struggles and life experiences have helped me to be more empathetic and understanding of others.
