At some point in everyone’s life, we are greeted with an invitation to change. Sometimes these junctures arrive by choice – beginning or leaving a relationship or marriage, deciding on a new career path or to retire. Sometimes these changes arrive on their own timeline – children leave the nest, a medical crisis occurs, we experience the death of a loved. These periods of transition can be disorienting and destabilizing and bring with them the stress of the unknown. They also present us with an opportunity to re-establish a connection to our core self, to learn about new parts of ourselves and to grow in unanticipated ways.
