I have been in the mental health field since 2010, primarily working in residential groups homes and as an Outdoor Rehabilitation Counselor (think wilderness therapy). Over the past couple of years, I've transitioned to in-office therapy. How I work. 1: Create a safe and trusting relationship (a random guy telling you things is different than someone you trust). 2: Identify the issue, how it affects you, and resources. 3: Find where the 'thing' started. 4: Go back and "reprocess", or correct the learning, from step 3 (there's several options on how we do this). Steps 2-4 repeat.
