What to Expect in Your First Therapy Session Starting therapy can feel intimidating but it doesn’t have to be. My goal in our first session is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can simply be yourself. We’ll begin with a relaxed conversation. I’ll ask what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get from it.
