I decided to be a counselor because I understood the importance of someone who looks like me doing this work. My goal is to create an open and affirming space for everyone including, Black bodies, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and those creating healthy non-traditional relationships. Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and trauma are common issues that can impact your day to day lives and close relationships no matter your background. By the end of therapy, you will be more confident in speaking up for yourself and creating healthy boundaries. Our first session is our time to get to know each other. I do my best to be an authentic and transparent as possible. This initial meeting allows you to see me and me to see you. A good therapist is not just one that asks thought provoking questions, but one who you feel comfortable opening up to.
