Hi! First off, I want to commend you for taking this step to try therapy. Starting therapy and being vulnerable can be scary at first and takes courage, so kudos to you for taking this first step. A little about me, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of South Florida, and my Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Central Florida. I have worked with individuals who have experienced adult and childhood trauma, domestic violence, substance use disorders, depression, and anxiety. In our first session together, we will start off with introductions and you providing me with some background information so I can understand you better. From there, we will talk about what brings you to therapy and what areas you would like to see improve. This information will help me to create a personalized plan for us to use in subsequent sessions.
