About
I believe in a Client-centered, Cognitive-Behavioral approach with an emphasis on personal responsibility, accountability, and ownership of problem solving to bring about personal change. I specifically use the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) model. The goal of ACT is acceptance of what is out of personal control, and a commitment to action for life improvement and enrichment. Additionally, mindfulness training including meditation, relaxation, and guided imagery can be used for therapeutic intervention.
