Sometimes change really hurts. Any change involves loss, and any loss - whether a person, a home, or an identity - can reopen old wounds, or trigger anxiety or depression. Meanwhile, the world may push us to hide our emotional pain. I work with adults experiencing life transitions of all kinds. My goal is to help you kindle curiosity about self and others, recover your aliveness, and go through life more forthrightly as yourself. I offer a safe space where your full experience is welcome, because when we accept grief as a companion, it's easier to manage, may even open doors. Depending on your goals, we may explore your history, work with your dreams, process trauma, do parts work (e.g., Gestalt or IFS), re-imagine your story arc, or examine relational patterns as they unfold between us. My approach is supportive, non-pathologizing, and collaborative.
