Parenthood not going how you thought it would? Maybe you’ve “just relaxed” for over a year now and you’re still not pregnant. Or perhaps your journey has been halted by an unexpected loss. Everyone is pregnant around you and you’ve just been invited to another baby shower. Entering parenthood rarely goes as planned. We are fed this narrative that we will get pregnant, have the delivery of our choosing and instantly bond with our baby. We answer endless questions about our infant’s sleep habits and post our monthly baby pictures. In reality, we haven’t brushed our teeth in three days and want to rage every time our partner speaks.
