As someone who has been in the field now for a number of years and having explored my own mental health journey, I approach mental health from many different points of view and approaches. The basis of my approach comes from my love for the person-centered theory, as I really do believe the relationship you make with your therapist impacts the progress you make, and bringing an unconditional positive regard, empathy and genuineness greatly helps facilitate that. I also bring in a number of different other theories, such as DBT, and recognize that no one approach fits every client- we will work together to find what works for you.
