My approach is trauma-informed and strengths-based, & I tend to work with issues of identity, relational/family/intergenerational complexity, LGBTIQ/gender diversity, trauma/abuse/C-PTSD, grief, spirituality, existential questions, meaning-making, men’s issues, & the many ways people experience & relate to their bodies. You may notice the title “Rev.” in my name & wonder how that fits into therapy. I’m an ordained clergyperson & hospice chaplain w/ an MDiv. Whether you want to bring faith, spirituality, philosophy — or none of that at all — into our conversations is entirely up to you. I work with people across a wide range of beliefs & non-beliefs, & I’m just as fluent in secular and philosophical approaches. I’m often curious about the personal values or life mottos that help guide people through their days, whether those come from faith, philosophy, or lived experience.
