Every therapist is different for two main reasons. We are different people and, we all work from a theoretical perspective which can be and often is different for each therapist. Consequently, not every therapist is equally effective with every client. For me the combination of who I am (my values, beliefs, experience, education and training) and my Person-Centered theoretical approach results in me being most effective for clients who have reached a point in their lives where they are tired of old patterns, feel stuck, and want change but don't really know what that looks like or how to make it happen.
