For 10+ years I’ve been part of the Harvard Medical School system, first as a trainee, now as faculty member. I'm trained primarily in psychodynamic therapy but utilize other paradigms too. While every therapy differs based on the patient and their goals, no therapy is effective without compassion, respect, and pragmatism, not to mention humor (sometimes life can only be laughed at). This is a perspective I lay out in a two-volume book, published by Routledge, "A Humane Vision of Clinical Psychology." (Licensed in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Vermont; office near Cambridge, Arlington, Porter, Harvard, Kendall, Lexington).
