My name is Rob. I’ve been a psychotherapist for 38 years. My graduate degree is in Clinical Psychology and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. In addition to my therapy work, I have been teaching Psychology to college students for 25 years. . I believe the foundation of effective therapy is a trusting empathetic relationship between therapist and client, and that treatment must be designed based on what people need to grow. Any dogmatic or doctrinaire approach risks invalidating the person who is seeking help, so therapy must draw on many approaches that are customized to help the client.
