When I was a teen, I remember feeling constantly lost and overwhelmed by my own emotions. As a freshman in Highschool, II sought out the school counselor, who ended up not only supporting me through high school, but also encouraged me to support others around me through our "peer support" club. Being a support to my peers was such as fulfilling experience, that when I was a young adult trying to figure out where my life was going, I had decided that I was going to make a career out of supporting others! I believe in building therapeutic relationships before anything. The work cannot be done if you can't connect with your therapist! I make an effort to provide a safe and empathetic space for my patient's so we can collaboratively lay the groundwork treatment.
