For the queer first-generation BIPOC, Have you ever felt alone when facing the intense pressures of cultural values, familial expectations, and in turn, self-applied pressure? Have you ever experienced loss, shame, or guilt whenever you tried to be your authentic self with friends, family, and loved ones? I know it can be extremely difficult to put yourself first, especially if that means honoring more vulnerable identities of yourself such as being queer or engaging in non-heteronormative relationship structures.
