I am a Licensed Certified Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience working with individuals, families, and groups. I work from the perspective of a client-centered approach, in the fact that every client is unique, and treatment should reflect their personal goals. I use a reality-based approach, and humour is imperative in overcoming trauma. In addition to my clinical practice, I also have over ten years of experience in clinical supervision and professional growth empowerment. I have certain interventions I do not practice, and they are CBT, Christian Counseling/directed spiritual guidance, EMDR, and Hypnosis. I believe and know we can do better, and hope to contribute through working with each individual person. After 20 years of practice, I know well enough to say my approach, methods and results are only as good as my last client says they are. I say my strengths are being reality-based yet maintaining a sense of humour in the most difficult of times.
